POSITION: Projects Director

 

  • Accountable for directing Al Mafraq Square Development Compound.

  • Achievements:

  • Improving budgeting by upscaling standards.

  • Reducing project delivery time by using Fast Track Methods.

  • Changing/Improving management processes – put in KPIs, improving communication methods…etc.

  • .Conducting Value engineering to allow for lower costs and improving specifications.

  • Al Mafraq Square Development. The project consists of a Shopping Mall, 11 Residential and Commercial Buildings, 2 Furnished Apartment Hotel Buildings, Masjid, Public Park, Roads and Infrastructure. Budget is estimated at AED 1.21 Billion

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC)

POSITION: Strategic Program and Project Management

 

  • Accountable for directing Ruwais City (Oil and Gas Refinery) Projects, Phase 3 & 4 Expansion.

  • Completed Phase 3 in October 2014: project value AED 3.8B. Commenced phase 4 in August 2014: project value AED 7.5B. Phase 4 includes 3100 units, 663 luxury villas plus all related infrastructure, facilities and services.

Achievements:

  • Initiated and steered new projects to improve Ruwais City Phases 3 and 4 Expansion objectives.

  • Delivered Phase 3 under time, reducing timescale from 8 years down to 3.

  • Increased the rate of delivering projects on time and within budget from less than 25% in the last decade to more than 75%.

  • Improved budgeting by upscaling standards.

  • Reduced project delivery time by 10-15%.

  • Gained trust and influence with the Tender Board to increase the Division budget from AED 250M to AED 1.2B in 2 years, then to AED 7.5B in 2014.

  • Transformed and improved management processes: defined KPIs, implemented new technologies, automated diverse processes, improved communication to make decision-making more efficient and decreased decision time from 6 months to one week.

  • Ensured all projects exceeded international standards.

  • Implemented value engineering (Certified Six Sigma Green Belt) resulting in improved products at lower costs.

  • Optimised Health, Safety & Environmental processes and standards, reducing incident rates. Gained ADNOC HSE Award.

 

PROJECTS ACCOMPLISHED

  • Two Projects with a total of 16 buildings (G+11F each). Total Built up area about 922,000 m2. Value about AED 1.75 Bln. Projects include all related infrastructure, services, utility buildings, substations...etc. (completed)

  • Infrastructure services to the Ruwais Mall Project as well as 1536 residential units, such as (Roads, Power, Water Supply Network, CCTV System, FATV System, FF System, Storm Water Network, Sewerage Network, SCADA...etc.) (completed)

  • District Cooling Plant (DCP)

  • 663 Villas for UAE Nationals with infrastructure and related services and facilities (AED 2.85 Bln)

  • 40 Married Accommodation Buildings with infrastructure and related services and facilities (AED 2.45 Bln)

  • Bachelor Flats Compound (5 buildings, G+5, total 353 Flats) with all infrastructure and landscaping works (completed).

  • Male and Female Class "A" Health Clubs (completed).

  • Class "A" Auditorium (1000 seats), Mosque, Sports Hall and Olympic Swimming Pool (completed).

  • Additional Requirements and Extensions to Ruwais New Hospital including Triage and Decontamination Units

  • Renovation of existing Recreation Building.

  • Extension to GLENELG International School (completed)

  • External Works for Recreation Building including Parking Bays, Roads…etc. (completed)

  • KG + Elementary Shuafat International School

  • A Mock-up VIP Villa using Module Technology, completed from A to Z including Furnishing in 2.5 months (completed)

HILL INTERNATIONAL

POSITION: Senior Project Manager.

 

  • Managed multiple ADNOC Projects in Ruwais City Phase 3 (Oil and Gas Refinery): total project value AED 1.6B.

    Projects included hospital, complete infrastructure works, administration building for BOROUGE and 4 army radar towers.

  • Managed Abu Dhabi Investment Co. (ADIC) Governmental projects from design phase onward to construction phase: total projects value AED 0.72B.

Achievements:

  • Took initiative to evaluate processes and procedures to improve projects delivery time, budget and quality. Improvements were appreciated and approved for implementation by ADNOC Senior management.

  • Invited by ADNOC to work directly with to manage and direct all improvement implementations alongside multi-projects.

  • Successfully delivered two projects for ADIC through the 2008 recession; revised scope of work, while maintaining core functions of projects, keeping both projects alive and delivering them as promised.

  • Ruwais New Hospital 125 beds. Approximate Value AED 1.25 Bln (completed)

  • Complete infrastructure works for the new Ruwais City Expansion including 8 substations (completed)

  • New Administration Building for BOROUGE (G+1). BUA ~5,100 m2 (completed)

  • Four Army Radar Towers in different locations (completed)

 

 

Client: Invest AD (Abu Dhabi Investment Co. - Governmental) Projects from Design Phase onward to Construction Phase. Projects are:

  • Commercial tower (Capital Tower), situated in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), comprising of 5 basements, ground floor, Mezzanine, 4 podiums, 22 office floors. BUA ~43,000 m2. Construction value ~ AED 460M. Obtained LEED Certification (Green Building), UPC and ADM Approvals (completed)

  • Two residential buildings (Beach Terraces), situated in Reem Island, each comprising of 2 basements, ground floor, 7 residential floors, entertainment (swimming poof, fitness…etc). BUA ~22,000 m2. Construction value ~ AED 260M. Obtained UPC and ADM Approvals (completed)
